PBA Teacher Education Workshop

PBA Workshop Options

To allow student flexibility, the PBA workshop can be completed through in-person presentation or online videos.  Completing either option meets the requirement. 

Option 1:  In-Person PBA Workshop

• Several hour-long, in-person PBA workshops will be offered each semester in DeGarmo 56 or as a synchronous workshop via Zoom.  If interested in attending, please click the link to sign up for a session: In-Person PBA Workshop Sign-up.  
• At the end of this workshop, you will complete and submit the PBA Workshop Verification and Completion Form, and your PBA milestone will be updated within 2-3 business days.

For those completing the online workshop, watching all videos and reviewing all information is the student's responsibility.  To complete the requirement, please watch the PBA online videos and submit the completed verification form per instructions below. 

• 1- Watch PBA online videos

  The online PBA workshop is broken down into four self-paced videos that are between 5 and 12 minutes in length.  Available in Microsoft Stream, the videos do require ISU log-in for access.  It is required that all teacher education students watch each video fully to ensure you understand the PBA requirements.    If you have any questions about workshop items, you should email PBAQuestions.

  To begin watching the videos, start on part 1 below and click on the hyperlink. Then proceed through all parts. Once finished, complete the verification form per instructions below.

• 2- PBA Verification Form Submission

  Do not move onto step 2 until you have watched all videos fully.   PBA requirements are the students responsibility and failure to meet them in a timely manner may result is receiving a disposition concern.  Once you have watched all parts of the PBA online workshop, you must fill out and sign the PBA Workshop Verification and Completion Form linked below.

  Return the completed form to pbaquestions@ilstu.edu or you can return it in person to the Cecilia J. Lauby Teacher Education Center in DeGarmo 56. Once returned, staff will review and update your PBA milestone within 2-3 business days.

  • PBA Workshop Verification and Completion Form - Must be opened in Adobe Acrobat for a digital signature, or be printed and signed with a pen before returning. Do not complete the verification form unless you have watched all videos fully. 
  • Don't have Adobe Acrobat? All ISU students have access to Adobe Creative Cloud Applications for their computer or mobile device through ISU's Technology Help Center.
